Small, colourful and completely individual, Curious Cast Rascals are handmade resin character ornaments filled with a mix of colourful beads and made to bring a little more personality to your shelves.

From ghosts and octopuses to whatever Rascal joins the gang next, every character is cast individually using epoxy resin and its own mix of beads. The colours, shapes and placement of those beads change with every pour, which means no two Curious Cast Rascals will ever be exactly the same.

If you find one that feels particularly you, don’t assume its identical twin will be along later. It won’t.

Handmade with beads and epoxy resin

Each Curious Cast Rascal is handmade using two-part epoxy resin with beads suspended inside, creating colourful patterns and details that can’t be precisely recreated.

Because the beads naturally move and settle differently during casting, even two Rascals made from the same mould will have their own individual appearance.

They’re small decorative pieces made for shelves, desks, bedside tables and anywhere else that could use something a little less ordinary. They also make unusual handmade gifts for anyone who loves quirky home décor, colourful resin art and one-of-a-kind pieces.

The little handmade details

Curious Cast Rascals are cast upside down, which means the base is the final poured surface.

On some Rascals the base will be completely smooth, while on others a bead may sit very slightly proud of the resin. This is a natural variation in the way each piece is cast rather than a fault.

Every Rascal is finished with cork padding underneath, with the number and size of cork pads depending on the shape of the character. This helps protect the surface underneath when your Rascal is on display.

Care for your Rascal

Curious Cast Rascals are indoor decorative ornaments rather than toys.

To keep yours looking its best, wipe it gently with a soft damp cloth when needed. Avoid soaking it in water, abrasive cleaning products or harsh chemicals.
